Our warehouse in Sydney is now closed as we transition to a showroom-only model. This transition has been made possible with a new DHL partnership, allowing Wall Fabrics to provide a personalised showroom experience and to remain nimble in the way we showcase our fabric ranges to our Australian clientele.

Our new Sydney showroom is expected to be in development for several months, and during this time our sales team will remain available for in person fabric viewings via travel. Minimal disruption is expected to our swatching and sampling services. We will be shipping fabrics from our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand, however we do not expect any delays to our delivery timeframes due to our new freight partnership.

Please see below for FAQ's relating to this showroom-only model transition.

— Will there be any impact to the cost of freight for future orders?

There will no longer be additional freight costs that were previously charged ex-Sydney on orders with metro and urban delivery addresses within Australia. For orders outside of metro and urban areas, we have secured competitive freight pricing with DHL. Your Wall Fabrics sales rep will be able to confirm this pricing upon request.

— Will there be any impact on the per metre cost of fabrics due to the changes in freight?

Over the next few months we will be implementing a price increase of 10% across many of our fabrics to accomodate general freight and raw material cost increases. If you have questions about existing holds or sampled fabrics, please contact your sales rep directly.

— Will there be any impact to the timeline of deliveries for future orders?

We do not anticipate any impact to the timelines for future deliveries. DHL delivery timeframes from Auckland match the timeframes that Courier Please provide ex-Sydney. During our showroom-only transition period, some existing fabrics may not be available for a 6 week period while in transit to our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand.

— Are there any changes to how I will be invoiced? Will I still be able to pay in AUD?

All invoicing on future orders will be billed from our Australian company, in AUD, and there will be no changes to your payment options. Wall Fabrics will also absorb all customs-related costs with the door-to-door service provided by DHL.

— I would like to view fabrics in person, can a Wall Fabrics sales rep visit my location?

Yes, our Wall Fabrics sales team are available to carry out in-person viewings in Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Please contact us directly to discuss this service. There is no disruption to the Melbourne Showroom during this transition period.

— Will there be any impact to existing orders I have placed?

There is no expected impact to existing orders that have been placed with our Wall Fabrics Sydney team. If you have concerns about existing orders, please contact your sales rep directly.

— How can I order swatches and sampling fabrics?

To place an order or enquire about swatches and sampling fabrics, please contact your sales rep directly, or send a general enquiry to sales@wallfabrics.com.

— I am a client of the Sydney-based team, who is the best point of contact at Wall Fabrics during this transition period?

If you are a client with a business based in Sydney or have been dealing with our Sydney team previously, you may have already been contacted about this forthcoming transition period. If you have not, and want to reach out to place an order for fabrics or swatches, please contact one of the sales reps listed below.

Please note that Imogen Shanahan will be on maternity leave from October 11th 2024 - July 2025.
